Knowledge about user embracement with risk classification by the Primary Care team

The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge about the user embracement with risk classification of the workers in primary healthcare of a municipality of the state of Paraná. This is a descriptive and exploratory study, with a quantitative approach, performed with workers at the Basic Health Units (UBS), by a calibration researcher, using a questionnaire with demographic data and on user embracement and risk classification. The workers reported that the UBS’s physical space is not sufficient for user embracement (62.5%), and to accommodate the companion (75%). The dimensions structure, process and outcome were classified as precarious. On the other hand, most workers agreed that the embracement provides a warm environment (62.5%), and promotes user comfort (56.3%). Although only 42.9% were trained, 50% of the workers attended the patient in a humanized manner. It is concluded that the workers showed willingness to receive the patient with humanization, but there is still little knowledge about the embracement with risk classification, requiring permanent education to qualify the team.
