Objective: To know the health problems that are self-reported by families assisted by the Support Center for Family Health. Method: Descriptive cross-sectional study, carried out in a city that is an economic hub and reference in health in the West region of the State of Santa Catarina. One thousand and twenty three families were systematically selected and interviewed using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed through a descriptive technique. Results: in data analysis, it was found that 62% of families rated their health as good. It was found that 56.5% have a family member with a health problem, such as back pain (47.6%), hypertension (42.9%), arthritis and rheumatism (28.6%). Conclusion: The study shows that the main diseases affecting families are chronic and noncommunicable, and families’ self-assessment, while having one of its members in a morbid state, classify family health as good.Published
