Hospital Psychology Internship in Interprofessional Outpatient Clinic: an experience report

The internship in Hospital Psychology performed in an interprofessional outpatient clinic highlighted the relevance of psychology's role in promoting the integral health of the patient. This experience report aims to describe the practice of psychology within the interprofessional outpatient clinic. The work was carried out in a partnership with several medical specialties, with Nephrology being the most frequent, and included the application of the HAD Scale as a complementary instrument. Allowed the development of clinical, ethical and interprofessional skills, in addition to emphasizing the importance of welcoming and qualified listening to patients, especially in situations of psychological suffering, through the attendances and supervisions, the internship contributed to the critical and practical training. The experience also promoted integration among students from different periods, strengthening collective learning and a humanized approach to care.
