In order to analyze health surveillance management and organization, based on the concept of expanded surveillance, and on its actions and attributions in the city, an integrative review of the literature was carried out, based on the analysis of seventeen articles indexed in the national databases SCIELO and LILACS, 70% of which published between 2009-2015, and eight official documents and from vocational training centers, allowing the construction of two categories of analysis. The results of the review point out that the concept of health surveillance should incorporate the integration of activities into expanded care. To achieve these results, the need to share the joint knowledge and the specific knowledge of each of the surveillances is highlighted, as well as the importance of management actions in the work process, in the allocation of resources, in the technical capacity, and in the municipal management.Downloads
